Dress & Suit Information

We do not sell our dresses online. We have over 600 dresses in the shop from several designers including Christie Helene, Joan Calabrese, US Angels, Little Princess and more. As we enter our 22nd year in business, we are celebrating with 20% off all our
in-stock Communion Dresses. If a dress has to be ordered, it is full price.

Our sizes start at 4 (just a few) and go to 16.5. We pride ourselves on having a good selection of dresses in half sizes. We have always been able to fit a young lady. For young men, we have suits starting in size 6 in white and navy, going to 18.5. We have husky and some slim sizes. There are several white ties to choose from along with armbands, shirts, tie clips, and lapel pins.

Shop Our Communion Gift Department

We just renovated and enlarged our Communion Department adding three new dressing rooms. We have a couple of new Communion gift companies and continue to sell Bliss Religious Jewelry in sterling silver. We have Saint medals, rosary bracelets, rosary, & pins for Baptism. We have very special Communion Jewelry by GPD Designs featuring blessings for Communion Day.

We carry panty hose, gloves, sweaters, capes and shoes. Along with the attire we have all the gifts appropriate for this very special time in a child's religious growth. We have traditional Communion sets, just like you had as a child, rosary, statues, jewelry, crucifixes and more.

Experience

I have over 20 years experience with young children celebrating their First Communion. The shop was started because I had trouble finding the right gifts for our own five children when they went through their sacraments. Here I am over 20 years later with the finest and largest most complete Communion Department in North Jersey. Robin, Megan, Patricia, Maura, Joanne, Kelsey, Erica & I look forward to your coming in with your little one as you journey through this very special time. We want to guide you through having their special day remembered.

Dress Styles

There are many styles of Communion Dresses to Fit all girls, below is just a snapshot of a few of our dress and veil styles. We have dress styles to suit any young lady. It is very important that the young one feel comfortable on her day.

Sleeveless

Abby is wearing a sleeveless dress with embroidered bodice. As you can see we have fun with the girls, as Abby makes a funny face for me. Her headpiece is a very easy to wear headband, perfect for the young girl who is used to wearing headbands everyday.

Princess Style

Abby is wearing a Princess Style Dress by Christie Helene. It is very poofy with a tight bodice. This example has full sleeves and a scoop neck. Her headpiece is a full sparklie crown and veil.

Crown- Anja's Dream 2135-V-SBB as shown, this is my favorite veil of the year, feel like a real princess with a Kate Middleton inspired scalloped edge crown with veil.

Faith & Begorra Exclusive Couture Collection

Faith & Begorra has a lovely selection of Communion Dresses made exclusively for them by Christie Helene. There are a few different styles finished in beautiful fabrics and trims. Abby is wearing a floral/lace satin headpiece by Anja's Dream. These dress styles are not available at any other shop. They have been made just for us and are Couture at a good price. Christie Helene has a collection of Couture Dresses. Abby is wearing "Riley", and the back detail shows why these dresses are so special. Not every little girl likes to wear a headpiece, so we are showing Abby without any adornment in her hair. If you plan on a Couture Dress, and we do not have it at our shop, please know the dress should be ordered by February 1st.

Here is a simple style with very pretty box pleats and lace detail on the cap sleeves and bottom edge. Abby is wearing a floral headpiece by Anja's Dream. This dress would look very pretty with a little cross necklace.

Dresses For All Young Girls

At Faith & Begorra we have many price points. It is our policy to not quote dress prices over the phone. We invite you to come into our shop, peruse our selection and shop. Our dresses start just under $100.00 and go up to Special Order Couture pricing. Headpieces start about $20.00 and go up from there. Abby is wearing a beautiful A-line dress with jacket by Sunstar.

Fitting A Dress

At Faith & Begorra, we do our best to fit your child for their big day. You the parent however, make the final decision on what size you want for your child. Below are photos of Abby having a dress fit check.

Abby is zipped and from there we check to see sleeve fit, and front/back fit. Dress should be smooth and without gaps. Across the top edge you should not be able to see down into the dress. If a dress is sleeveless, we make sure you can not see into the side of the dress, and we make sure the sides are not too high and cut short under the arms.

Here the dress is being checked for growth. Most dresses are purchased way before the Communion, we want to make sure Abby has wiggle room and can sit comfortably in the dress.

Abby is checked to make sure she has a smooth fit front and back and that the length of the dress is correct to keep any excited little one from tripping on her big day. We suggest the children practice walking in their dress and always make sure to scuff the soles of their shoes.

Once we make sure the dress has "spin" and everything is ok, we celebrate with a thumbs up. Abby is my granddaughter, I am her Grammie Sue, and she was one very patient young lady as we photographed her. I want every young girl to have a good experience at Faith & Begorra. First Holy Communion is a very special time in a child's religious growth and we are here to help guide your child through the journey.

We are located at 40 Broadway, Denville, NJ, right off Rt. 80.

We are located 30 miles due West of New York City.

From the East (New York)

Rt. 80 West to Exit 39, Denville. After you exit Rt. 80 you will be on Rt. 46 East, make 2nd right hand turn (Rt. 53/Denville)At Stop Sign, make a right and go to second traffic light, make a hard right onto Broadway. We are last store down on the left hand side, the corner of First Avenue and Broadway.

From East Using Rt. 46

Bear right off of Rt. 46 Westbound. by Sogo in Denville. Follow Bloomfield Avenue along River straight into town. We on on right hand side at the corner or First Avenue and Broadway.

From The West ( Pa)

Rt. 80 East to Exit 38, Denville. As you come off the exit ramp, get into left lane. Go thru the first light by Burger King, at the second light, bear left thru light and follow flow of traffic into town. At next light, go straight down Broadway. We are last store down on the left side at the end of the first block

From RT 46 and Dover

Follow directions above "From the West, PA".

From the North Via Rt. 287

Rt. 287 South to Rt. 80 West about 4 miles to Exit 39 Denville, follow directions abouve.

From the South Via Rt. 287

Take Rt.287 North to Rt. 80 West, follow directions above.

From Rt. 10.

Take Rt. 10 East or West to Rt. 53 North. Follow 4 miles into center of town, make hard right at clock tower. We are last shop down on left hand side at the end of the first block.
